Big C Foundation presents scholarships for Thai students in 2007

The deputy of OBEC Secretary-General Mr. Mangkorn Kullavanich and Big C Foundation Board members, Mrs. Boonsri Suthammanuwat, Ms. Jariya Chirativat and Mr. Thomas M. Nelson presented the Big C Foundation?s scholarships for 2007. The current 750 scholarships represent the forth round of scholarships that are presented to secondary students in the Bangkok area. Each scholarship is valued at 4,000 baht at the Main Hall of Thammasat University. In addition, the Big C Foundation plans to organize the scholarship ceremonies in other provinces for a total of 1,650 scholarships at all Big C Supercenter in Thailand. The ceremonies will occur every Saturday in November 2007. In totally the Big C Foundation will present 2,000 scholarships to secondary students nationwide valued 9,600,000 baht.

The Big C Foundation was founded on May 10, 2002 by Big C Supercenter Plc. to provide children with more educational opportunities and a higher quality of life. The foundation aims to develop students to be highly qualified adults in their communities to the benefit of society and the nation in accordance with the commitment, "The Big C Foundation builds up dreams, happiness and smiles for Thai society."
