1. Providing Thai junior encyclopedias as initiated by His Majesty the King which are a source of diverse knowledge

Big C Foundation has delivered Thai junior encyclopedias (each set includes 30 hard cover books) with cabinets, creating a mini-library for 230 schools nationwide and providing 3,000 sets of encyclopedias (6 volumes per set) to 3,000 secondary schools throughout the kingdom.

2. Big C Foundation Book Houses

Big C Foundation has provided Big C Foundation Book Houses, which supports libraries for deprived schools and communities to ensure there are sufficient books for Thai children to read.

3. Thai Children’s Love of Reading Corner and book donations at 50 Big C stores

Big C has arranged story telling and reading promotion activities for kids on Saturdays and Sundays at the Reading Corner and arranging book donation boxes. Approximate of 50,000 donated books are collected and presented to disadvantaged schools and communities in diverse areas throughout Thailand.

4. Reading Marathon Competition for the Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Trophy

Big C Foundation in collaboration with Office of The Basic Education Commission, Ministry of Education, has arranged a reading marathon competition for upper primary and secondary students in order to encourage reading and self-learning among Thai children.
