Big C Understands What Thais Want: cash back plus up to 10,000 Baht in added value while serving as social security cheque distribution point with instant cash

Big C plans to increase the value of government cheques to 10,000 Baht through sales promotions of up to 50% off various goods.

Ms Jariya Chirathivat, Vice President, Marketing & Communications, Big C Supercenter PCL, said that Big C is hosting the 'Government Cheques for the Thai Economy' campaign promotion, increasing the cheque's value over 10,000 Baht through sales promotions of up to 50% off on various goods. Big C branches will also serve as Social Security distribution points where cheques can be converted into cash instantly via Bangkok Bank booths in designated areas.

"Because Big C understands the heart of our customers and we want to be there for them through both good and bad times, our campaign promotion aim is on added values and convenience usage of the cheque to our customers," stated Jariya.

The campaign will run from 26 March to 6 April in all 66 Big C branches. For every customer that comes into Big C with their cheques, they will receive a coupon booklet worth over 10,000 Baht in total savings. Special for the customers spend 2,000 Baht, or purchase 2,000 Baht worth of gift voucher they will received extra gift voucher worth 100 Baht. And from 26 March to 30 April, 2009, cash return will also be made instantly with purchases in Big C of over 500 Baht.

On 26-28 March, 2009, Big C will organize "Big C Booth at Laan Kon Maung, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration. This purpose of this activity is to distribute consumer product in the lower price. Also there are many activities and games to join and win a prize. The customers who spend 2,000 Baht, or purchase 2,000 Baht worth of gift voucher they will received extra gift voucher worth 100 Baht and will receive a coupon booklet worth over 10,000 Baht in total savings.
