Mr. Househusband’s Simple Kitchen Tips Series: Homemade Bubble Milk Tea to celebrate National Bubble Milk Tea Day

Did you know that today is the National Bubble Milk Tea Day? Yes, that’s correct. Bubble milk tea is a national concern now. How could it not? We all love it and it’s everywhere. But today I have something special. Since I have plenty of time at home, I think I’m going to make homemade bubble milk tea that the whole family can enjoy. Let’s take a look:

Ingredients:

  1. 1. Ready-made boba pearls
  2. 2. Tea or cocoa
  3. 3. Sweetened condensed milk
  4. 4. Milk
  5. 5. Simple syrup (brown sugar)
  6. 6. Creamer
  7. 7. Ice
  8. 8. Water

Directions:

  1. 1. Bring water to a boil. Add boba pearls in gradually. Do not pour them in all at once. Stir constantly to prevent clumping for 30 minutes.
  2. 2. When the pearls are soft and cooked, turn the gas off and leave them in the water for another 30 minutes.
  3. 3. Rinse the boba pearls in water to get off the starchy excess. Then put them in simple syrup.
  4. 4. Make tea, add milk and condensed milk. If you like a creamy texture, add creamer.
  5. 5. Put boba pearls in a glass. Fill with ice. Then pour the tea mixture in. Add a splash of milk on top.

That’s all it takes to make your own homemade bubble milk tea. It’s a perfect ice-cold drink in this hot weather. You can sub the milk tea with coffee, cocoa or even green tea. Buy ingredients, click here.
