Sweet Girl: Milo Lava Cake in a Rice Cooker

I am back with more rice cooker dessert recipes. To be honest, I’m in love with my rice cooker right now. I feel so sorry for ignoring how much it can do for a sweet tooth like me. Now I can whip up many dessert recipes without even turning on the oven. Today, I’m giving you the Milo Lava Cake, with just a handful of ingredients that are all available at Big C. It is simple and quick, so I am sure it will become many people’s new favourite dessert.

Ingredients

  1. 4 tablespoons of Milo powder
  2. 2 tablespoons of plain milk
  3. 1 egg
  4. 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
  5. 4 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
  6. A small cake mold

Method

  1. Mix the Milo powder, milk, egg and vegetable oil together until well combined.
  2. Gradually add the flour into the mixture.
  3. Grease the cake mold with vegetable oil and pour the mixture in.
  4. Put the cake mold in the rice cooker. Add enough water in the cooker to come half way up the side of the mold. Set the time for four minutes.
  5. After it has finished steaming, take the Milo Lava Cake out of the mold and decorate with Milo powder on top.

That was simple and easy, right? It is almost fail-proof and bakes quickly. Give it a try and you’ll love it. You can get creative with the ingredients and you could even turn it into a business idea! Buy the ingredients at your nearest Big C or shop online here.
