Mr. Househusband’s Simple Kitchen Tips presents Recipe for Vietnamese Pho

The temperature is forecast to drop over the next few days, so I think it’s a good time to introduce a simple dish that will keep you warm when the weather is cool. The dish is pho.

The Vietnamese noodle dish consists of rice noodles, broth and stewed beef.

Method

Broth: bring beef bones with garlic, pepper, ginger, radish and seasoning sauce to the boil, then simmer for 1 – 2 hours. The longer the broth is left to simmer, the sweeter the broth will become.

Stewed beef: shank is the part of meat commonly used in pho. Boil the beef with seasonings such as oyster sauce, salt and seasoning sauce until it becomes tender. If you don’t eat beef, you can change the meat to pork or chicken.

Cook rice noodles in boiling water and put them in a bowl. Add chopped celery, spring onion, onion, bean sprouts, fried garlic, lime juice, shrimp paste and roasted chili. Then add the broth and stewed beef on top. Now the noodles are ready to serve with sweet basil, Chinese cabbage and asparagus beans.

This Vietnamese dish is easy to make. All the ingredients used in the recipe are available at Big C Super Center branches or you can order them from our online store here.
